Harton Announces George Church Joins as Scientific Advisor

Harton, a biotechnology company creating personalized and scalable immune therapies, today announced George Church, Ph.D. has joined as a Strategic Scientific Advisor.

George Church is world-renowned for his many leading contributions to genome engineering, synthetic biology, chemistry, and biomedicine. He is the Robert Winthrop Professor of Genetics at Harvard Medical School, Professor of Health Sciences and Technology at Harvard and MIT, Director of PersonalGenomes.org, and Founding Core Faculty member at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University where he leads the Synthetic Biology Platform.

Church has received multiple awards, including the 2011 Bower Award and Prize for Achievement in Science from the Franklin Institute and election to the National Academy of Sciences (2011) and Engineering (2012). He has co-authored 590 publications, 155 patents, and a book titled, Regenesis: How Synthetic Biology Will Reinvent Nature and Ourselves. He also started over 20 companies.
