Jermaine Reid

Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications

Prior to joining Harton, Jermaine was the VP of Marketing Communications (MarCom) of ReadCoor, Inc. She developed and led the Marcom strategy to evolve the brand identity from an R&D leader of groundbreaking science to a commercialized products company offering the world's first True Multi-Omic Spatial Sequencing platform. Before ReadCoor, she served as the VP of Communications & Events at Emulate, Inc. She led the company's Marcom approach to drive the adoption of the company's Organs-on-Chips products. Before Emulate, Jermaine served as the Head of Operations at HUBweek. She created and standardized events operations for this weeklong Boston-based festival comprising 130+ events for 35,000+ attendees that celebrated local art, science, and technology. Before HUBweek, she served as the Senior Director of Community Relations at Harvard University’s Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering. She raised the organization's visibility by developing and executing various educational programs, social media campaigns, and events for scientists across the globe. Further, she oversaw and maintained the Institute's vibrant internal community comprising nearly 900 faculty, postdocs, and administrative staff.

Jermaine joined The Fibroid Foundation (Bethesda, MD) as a Volunteer Ambassador to lead the newly formed Boston Chapter. She served on the Board of Directors of Apprentice Learning (Boston, MA) and Science Talk (Portland, OR). She participated in Habitat for Humanity's Global Village program and built homes in Fiji, Argentina, Thailand, Brazil, and Portugal.

Jermaine received the Harvard University Hero Award in 2012. This award is the University’s employee highest honor. She received Emulate, Inc.’s Mission Impossible Award in 2016, the company’s highest employee honor.

She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Energy & Environmental Resources from Bridgewater State University and her Master's Degree in Management from Brandeis University.
